Potato Desiree

Potato Desiree

The Desiree potato plant is of a medium height and  spread, with a number of pigmented stems.
The leaf is blue/green open and  pigmented.

A good table variety!
Remains a firm favourite of many for its rosy skin and very finely flavoured pale yellow flesh. Tubers can become very large and slightly mis-shapen but that does not detract from this very versatile variety whether baked roasted or boiled.

Skin Colour – Red.

Flesh Colour – Light yellow.

Uses – boil, mash, chips and saute. Desiree has a firm cooked texture.
